G'Day guys,

As I mentioned in my previous post, I shot GPS Swimming on Friday. Here's a snapshot of my images, I have only done a quick flick through each of my pictures so there is plenty more to come.

I'd love to hear your thoughts, this was my first time doing any swimming photos, and my first 'proper' even with my 70-200

Cheers
Chris

Nice shots, only thing I can suggest is a tighter crop on the first and last. Otherwise, good work!

Nice action shots. White balance perhaps a little warm?

Thanks Chrispin, I will give it another crop and re-post here

Eagle, thanks for the feedback. I shot RAW so I will go back and tweak everything a bit.

Cheers
Chris

Seem to be a bit warm plus a cyan colour cast?

Thanks Darren,

I shot these on a borrowed D200 (Sean O'Brien's) so I guess thats where the copyright is coming up.

But, where did you find the copyright information?

And he posts here under the name Obes, so he can verify that I took the shots.

Cheers
Chris

Yes, thought it would be something like that

EXIF is there

I would think though as you took the shot youd still own the copyright, would be interesting though :D

I was there and saw you shooting! Good job, considering what you have to work with at a swimming event, the angles are awesome.

Thanks Ben,

Were you shooting or up in the stands?

You should have come and said G'Day.

yep - nice work - I actually think the crops are good. Gives the shots direction and momentum. The colour balance is off in some, but those lights make it bloody difficult. Make sure the white is neutral as in the butterfly one and you'll be 90% there - the RAW should make it easy.

Nicely done. Next time see if you can find an angle we haven't seen before - it's the secret between "stock" sports photography, and true sports imagery :P

In the Ipswich Grammar stands, would have been a bit of a struggle hahaha.

Hmm, I guess you're right.

But, why weren't you shooting in the first place?

Ah, I can't be bothered at school. The school photographer think's he's tops with his 40D and sigma 150-500, but his skills just don't cut it. He's a real jerk as well.

Chris owns the copyright. All his work (leaves me for dead). I just provided a device.

I just normally have the image comment set to that. You prolly need to strip that copyright info out Chris.
